The Port of Dakar awarded the operator NECOTRANS a 25-year concession for the exploitation of non-food heavy products (mainly minerals, fertilizers and cements).

The bulk carrier terminal extends over an area of 8 Ha with a linear length of more than 700 meters and depths varying between -6 and 10 meters.
