The Port Autonome de Dakar is jointly supervised by the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy and the Minister of Finance.

The Port Autonome de Dakar is administered by a Board of Directors composed of: 

The Board of Directors deliberates on all measures concerning the management of the company, in particular:

• Rules  and regulations;
• Multi-annual action and investment programs;
• Budgets and forecasts;
• Acquisitions and disposals of assets;
• Financial participation;
• Year-end accounts;
• Draft collective settlement agreements;
• Port operating regulations;
• Tariffs for port charges and services;
• Company organization chart;
• Authorizations to occupy the port domain for a duration greater than or equal to nine (09) years.

The Board of Directors oversees the application of these deliberations by the Director General. It deliberates each year on the company management report and social reports presented by the Director General.

The Board of Directors is informed of presidential directives; in particular those issued by the reports of the company’s control bodies, and deliberates annually on the management and annual reports issued by the Director General.

The Management Committee ensures the permanent control of company management during the interval between meetings of the Board of Directors. It reports on its meetings to the Board of Directors.

It is chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors or the Vice-Chairman. The representatives of the line ministries are ex officio members. Three other members are elected by the Board of Directors among its members.
