Dakarnave remains one of the largest shipyards on the West African coast.

Located inside the harbor, the shipyard has modern equipment for repair and refit:

• A 1200 tons boat lift
• A dry dock of 195 m in length and 27 m in width
• A refit basin of 130 m long and 38 m wide
• Two (2) floating cranes of 60 and 120 tons
• A floating dock with a lifting capacity of 60,000 tons.

In addition, there are three (3) other slipways operated by private companies for repair, fairing and other related activities.
