Pilotage is one of the high value-added activities of the PAD certified ISO 9001.

Since 2009, the performance has earned it the regular renewal of this certification for the service "Inbound, Exit and Discharge management of commercial vessels".

At the PAD, any vessel greater than 1500 m3 must be operated.

Fifteen (15) long-distance captains, a fleet of six (6) pilots and seven (7) pc of mooring ensure, in turn, the assistance of ships at the entrance and exit.

Several service boats are used for passenger transport (delegations and personalities), service requirements and security patrols. In the Mbao sea-line, the connections and disconnections operations are carried out with a service crew with a crew of the Armament and the African Refining Company (SAR).
